According to local belief, a Khandrom Princess from Tawang offered herself within the sacred Chorten during its construction, creating an everlasting bond between the people of Tawang and Trashiyangtse. Even today, during Dakpa Kora, pilgrims from Tawang travel for days to visit Chorten Kora, carrying generations of faith, memories, and connection. Many also believe the tilted Sertog of Chorten Kora still leans toward Tawang, as if waiting for the people and loved ones who return year after year. For generations, Chorten Kora has remained more than a sacred place; it is believed to be a place where hearts reunite, where old memories return, and where love continues beyond time. This music video is a humble tribute to the Bhutanese feature film “Chorten Kora”, with several scenes recreated in homage to its timeless legacy. The song “Meto Dumra” is recreated and inspired by the traditional Monpa song “Mento Dumra” featured in the film.
